2025 favs!

im here documenting some of my favourite stuff from this year, and trying out neocities at the same time, since... you know... it's so hard to share stuff on twitter now and i miss my friends and blabbing about stuff i like (maybe i will set up shrines for specific things i like here if i can figure out!!)... but i dont have concrete plans so this might be my only update for the next 12 months lol anw if you ever want to get in touch with me, you can now msg me on dreamwidth (link in the sidebar) or discord (which you should have if we've talked before!)

    2. i joined two tcgs this year! colors tcg (east asia media) and module tcg (vocaloid) which have been soooo fun and nice if you like collecting things and fandom. you collect cards from decks through playing web-based / journal-based games and can display your cards on your dreamwidth journal or website... that's about it ! it's nice to look at pretty pngs of my bbs (i donated more hyouka decks!!) and also hang out around in a multi-fandom space again, come join us !!! (:

    3. i didn't get to make as much as i'd like this year, but i've made stuff for friends (shirts, hats, book covers) and look forward to making more in 2026 ! if you crochet too and have patterns you like, please share them with me! the most uinque project was this little submarine a friend requested me to make heh

  3. reverse 1999

    4. i fell off star rail in the latter half of 2025 because the story got so long and repetitive and i didn't really vibe with any of the characters. versus REVERSE 1999 WOW !! i really like the characters and writing in this gacha game. rather diverse cast with excellent voice acting. and it's very immersive how they have characters code switch between languages (english and X, depending on which country the character is from) and getting voice actors that can do that convincingly! i love that chinese characters that speak mandarin / cantonese also have an accent when they speak in english! i love isolde, whose character is an opera singer and is voiced by someone with opera training who was able to sing her voice lines in the game! also R1999's stories are mostly self-contained, so you feel satisfied playing through the story each patch because they wrap up plot threads while also weaving in clues / questions for the overaching plot. and the historical setting changes every patch too because it's a time travel game! so yes. if you are open to playing a gacha game and like a good story, this is the one i'd recommend. i grew especially fond of kiperina, who is a tightrope walker that ends up training to be an astronaut and going to space (it makes sense and is terribly sad + good in the story)

  5. dreamwidth rp!

    6. mayaka is back but as a sneasel in a pokemon mystery dungeon rp hosted on dreamwidth -- this is very new for me and im still learning as i go, but it's been fun to revisit my favourite character(s) through RP and the games hosted on dreamwidth are very detailed (sometimes a bit too dense for my little brain to process orz but Bottlecap Bay has been good for me so far)... think of like like DnD but you're expected to use an existing character instead of your OC and through this you play off other characters in the game (which can range from chars from animanga, to tv, to labubu (real!)). so uh... i'm probably the only hyouka account on there so if anyone wants to join me with a chitanda, houtarou, or satoshi, PLEASE lets write collaborative fanfic together !!! 🥺
